No one has called this year to say happy new year
I guess too busy is a great excuse for a lot of things.
One day everyone will wake up and find how futile this Rush of life really is.

I sit here on my front porch at mid day. The whole world seems to be asleep.
A robin is chirping in the top of a leafless tree across the street.
Cars are going back and forth on the street about a block away.

No one is moving, I seem to be the only person on earth.
I pick a dandilion that has survived enough to bloom In January,
I toss it out into the brown lawn and it seems to glow bright yellow in the warm sun.
The planes are departing to the south, taking no face people
To places throughout the country and possibly the world.
Other birds are singing. Someone is hammering somewhere In the neighborhood,
possibly repairing something that will have to be repaired again in the not to distant future.

Is it all for some one else somewhere in the future, like the old farm in Tn.
It belonged to the great earth, Gods crearion!
And although it has been claimed by different family members, and now me.
No one has claimed it very Long and no one has taken it with them,
it always belongs to God And his creation earth.

So what is it all about, Life? Greed? Need?
Or just A tiny speck of time in space and Gods endless forever.
This brings to mind an old country song from My younger days.
When You have learned enough to Really live You are old enough to die. ((Jim Reeves))
Or as my Pastor (Rev. Shadd) use to say! Too Soon Old Too Late Smart.

So you may not believe in God! (That's your decision.) I do!
And if there is no tomorrow for either of us.
Either way I am ok! ! ! ! ! !
